Intro to Brush Lettering Workshop (with Kate Edwards of Quill & Curl Calligraphy)

Are you interested in trying your hand at something new? Let's start with brush lettering! We're thrilled to welcome Kate Edwards with Quill and Curl Calligraphy back to Good Day for our first Intro to Brush Lettering Workshop! 

Join local calligrapher, Kate Edwards, at Good Day Pottery & Art Studio to learn the basics of brush lettering! In this one and a half hour class you’ll learn about some of the supplies used for brush pen calligraphy, the basic strokes that make up most of the letterforms and how they’re assembled to make words, along with troubleshooting tips and tricks. You’ll walk away with the knowledge and tools needed to practice and develop your brush lettering skills. Supplies are included and are yours to keep!

What's included:

  • 1.5 hours of instruction

  • Class packet containing upper and lowercase exemplars, practice sheets, practice words, and an abundance of tips, tricks, and resources

  • Your own black brush pen to keep

  • Practice paper

  • A brush pen try-it station for testing different types and colors of pens

  • Snacks and sips to enjoy during class

About Kate:

Kate Edwards is a Little Rock native with over 8 years of professional experience. She has a passion for pointed pen, both traditional and modern scripts, and loves sharing this passion with others. She specializes in wedding calligraphy, custom keepsakes, and on-site calligraphy/engraving. She has been a member of the International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers, and Teachers of Handwriting (IAMPETH) since 2019.
